Youth and Family Support:
Our Community Youth and Family Workers
offer a confidential, culturally sensitive, non-judgmental social work support service for young people and family, both immediate family and where appropriate, the wider family/network. The service is based in Rangiora at the Ngawi Thompson Centre and extends to the Oxford, Kaiapoi and Hurunui regions. Sessions may be either in your own home or at our centre.
The Counsellors offer help in areas such as family conflict, overcoming the effects of violence, relationship counselling, peer pressure, strengthening family relationships, parent/carer/child relationships, assertiveness, disability, grief and loss, safety and bullying issues, anger management and self-esteem.
